About us

Allegra has developed successful mountain-bike destinations since 2003 and remains actively involved in shaping bike-related tourism. Small wonder that we are considered a pioneer in the field of mountain-bike tourism.

Darco Cazin and his father Fadri founded Allegra Tourism consultancy in Switzerland. One of the company’s first clients was Livignio, which is today considered one of the most popular travel destinations for bike enthusiasts. At the time, the task was to develop a tourism product for the World Championships in Livigno, which allowed Allegra to develop the region’s mountain-bike tourism from scratch.

Over the years, larger projects and destination development activities were added to our portfolio including international projects like Macedonia, Finland, Japan or United Arab Emirates. As the list of projects grew, so too did our team . In 2014, Claude Balsiger joined the company as managing director.

In addition to consulting services, today, Allegra also offers infrastructure planning, development of business models and other important areas have also been added.

The company employs over 50 members of staff during the summer months. In October 2019, a new branch office in Austria was opened. Thanks to our new location in Innsbruck, Tyrol, our customers in Austria and in South Tyrol now have better access to Allegra’s core competencies.

PHILOSOPHY

By increasing access to nature, our goal is to positively influence the lives of future generations in more peripheral tourism regions through economic and touristic development. We see outdoor experiences as an essential element for health, quality of life and access to nature for every human being.  We find sustainable solutions for tourism.
